Your First 100,000 Photos in The EyeEm Collection at Getty Images
By EyeEm Team - 3 min read
Your photos. Your rights. Your benefit.
Over the past few months, thousands of EyeEm photographers have been submitting their images to The EyeEm Collection at Getty Images. Today we’re thrilled to announce that we’ve hit an incredible milestone: 100,000 images from the EyeEm community are now available for sale via Getty Images.
What’s beyond the next “like?”
We introduced The EyeEm Collection at Getty Images earlier this year to give you the opportunity to take your photography to the next level. We started with the belief that everyone can be a great photographer and make their work available to potential buyers. There are millions of individuals, from newspaper editors to book publishers, advertisers to designers, who are looking for images every day. In cooperation with Getty Images, one of the world’s leading image agencies, you get the opportunity to make your work available for sale.
The 100,000 images now available at The EyeEm Collection are just the starting point of something much bigger. EyeEm opens the professional image market to a new generation of photographers. Anyone with a smartphone can be part of it; and those who push their boundaries will effectively become professional photographers and get paid for their work.

Your photos. Your rights. Your benefit.
The images you see on The EyeEm Collection at Getty Images are real, authentic, spontaneous, intimate, often hyper local moments captured by a worldwide community of photographers. It’s the photos that you take, every day, to capture your life. And this is exactly what image buyers – be it publishers, advertisers or individuals – are looking for and can’t find anywhere else.
Selling a photo doesn’t put an end to the joy and passion we feel for photography. Many of us have started taking photos simply to capture the world around us and share its beauty. EyeEm will always remain a place for that. You will always have the choice whether you want to sell a photo or not and remain in full control of your image rights. We will always be transparent about the terms and conditions.
Here’s to the future, to a new generation of photographers, to you taking your skills & creativity to the next level.
Yours truly,
Flo & Your EyeEm Team
