Camper vans packed with gear, wave-riding fans crowding sandy shores, post-surf BBQ grub, surfer style, the iconic shaka greeting… This TASCHEN x EyeEm Mission is all about sharing a side to the sport rarely seen – as well as the culture and traditions that have grown with it, making waves around the world.

Your Mission: Surf’s Up is all about capturing the surfer lifestyle in all its glory – from the thrill of the surf to the chilled beach vibes, pre-surf rituals to post-surf evenings back on dry land. Show off your shots of the coastline craze in this TASCHEN x EyeEm Mission – and don’t forget to tell us where the photo was taken!
Your Reward: A copy of Surfing 1778–2015 by Jim Heimann (more information below) is up for grabs. And a collection of the top surf shots will feature in an image collection in the Discover Feed and on the EyeEm Blog!

How To Take Part: Simply take a photo and tag it with Surf’s Up. Your photo will then be automatically added to the album. If you want to add a photo that you’ve already uploaded, just go to your profile, view the photo and select “Edit Photo.” From there, you can add the tag, “Surf’s Up”.
