The 100 To Watch: The 2019 EyeEm Awards Finalists Announced!

With 1 million submissions, the 2019 EyeEm Awards has upheld its title of the largest photography competition out there. Our jury put together their creative expertise to select just 100 finalists, and today we get to reveal that highly anticipated list.

Since its debut in 2010, The EyeEm Awards has kept the same goal–highlight emerging talent from around the globe. The EyeEm Awards 2019 was no exception, as we saw a jaw-dropping 1 million submissions, covering more than 100,000 photographers in over 150 countries!

The jury, including top photographers and representatives from Nike, Magnum Photos, Adobe, and more, worked hard to select the 2019 shortlist featuring 100 outstanding images.

Highlighting 10 photos from each category, the collection of finalists are a glimpse into the incredible work we saw submitted for #EyeEmAwards19.

About The Collection of 100 Finalist Images

From Buddhist temple gatherings in China to packed subways in Japan, portraits captured at Everest base camp to action shots from a skatepark in South Africa. The collection of finalist’s images represent the diversity and intricacy of the photography industry.

For our team of curators, it was essential to create opportunities for photographers of all levels to contribute their creativity this platform. So, no matter what it was shot on, or where it was shot, each selected images tell unique and powerful stories, each with their own take on the world we live in.

The winner of each category, plus The EyeEm Photographer of The Year, were announced at The EyeEm Awards Ceremony as part of Berlin Photo Week 2019.
