MPB Crowns The Winners of The Photo and Video Kit Hall of Fame 2020

We're excited to reveal the five pieces of exceptional kit to be inducted into Photo and Video Kit Hall of Fame inaugural Class of 2020.

If you’ve been following our social media accounts recently, you’ll know that we’ve been very excited to see which iconic camera devices would be inducted into the Photo and Video Kit Hall of Fame inaugural Class of 2020. Created the world’s largest resale platform for digital photography and filmmaking kit, MPB, The Hall of Fame aims to celebrate cameras which through innovation, changed the photographic landscape for the better.

Starting with a shortlist of twenty-five nominees across five categories, 40,985 voters cast their ballot in hopes of their favourite pieces of kit coming out on top.

After a rigorous six-week voting period, the votes have been counted, and photographers and filmmakers from 157 countries have crowned their winners.

Iconic category: Hasselblad 500CM

The Iconic inductee features an iconic shape from an iconic manufacturer and has helped create much of the world’s finest work.

Game Changer category: GoPro HERO

The Game Changer inductee revolutionised point-of-view filming for sports and otherwise impossible-to-capture activities.

Road Tested category: Nikon D810

A near-perfect all-rounder, the Road Tested inductee brought high resolution to a familiar package, with reliable ISO performance.

Trendsetter category: Fujifilm X100F

Beautiful and portable, the Trendsetter inductee is the retro camera everyone wishes they had in their kitbag right alongside their pro body.

Classic category: Nikon D700

The Classic inductee is renowned for its incredible image quality, build quality and character.

The winning manufacturers are to be presented with individual awards from MPB for their part in creating impactful equipment which won the hearts of photographers worldwide.
